Once You Are Admitted ...
- Freshmen Admitted Students: You may confirm your intent to enroll at NIU with the Office of Admissions, upon receiving an admissions offer notification.
- Fall Semester 2009 admitted new students must confirm by May 1, 2009.
- NIU Admissions will take your "Confirm" of plans to attend as long as space is available. If you do not confirm your attendance, you may forfeit your place in the freshman class.
- Confirmed new students are invited to attend their Freshman Orientation Program for initial academic advisement and course registration on a priority basis.
- Confirm your plans to attend on MYNIU.
- If you cannot attend, we will hold your transcripts and other supporting documents for one year. If you wish to attend NIU during a later semester, you must submit a new admissions application and application fee.
- Freshmen must submit a final, official high school transcript upon graduation.
- Have you sent your official ACT scores to NIU? An official ACT score report (sent to NIU by ACT Inc.) or SAT score report (sent to NIU by the College Board) must be submitted.
