Freshman Admissions

Applications are still being accepted for fall 2008.  

NIU offers you several ways to apply. Please visit the links on the sidebar for detailed information on the admissions process.

• Early application is recommended.
• Space and/or budget limitations may necessitate earlier application deadlines.
• Freshman applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications by the Priority Filing Dates for Fall Semester 2008.

Limited Admission Programs

Some majors, emphases and areas of study have limited admissions. Admission into these majors, emphases, and areas of study is based on additional criteria.

Special Admissions

Certain students who meet special criteria may be considered for admissions through a Special Admissions Program.
